Macroony ("the App") respects your privacy. The App does not collect, transmit, or store any user-identifying information or usage logs. This policy describes exactly what data the App touches and where it lives.
1. Personal data collected
The App does not collect any personal data such as name, email, phone number, location, or advertising identifiers. It does not use analytics tools (Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, etc.).
2. Data stored locally
Scenarios you create, action settings, and OCR thumbnail snapshots are stored only on your Mac, under:
~/Library/Application Support/AIMacro/
- scenarios.json — your scenario list
- actions.sqlite3 — per-action edited values
- snapshots/{action-id}.png — OCR region thumbnails
This data is never sent to any server or cloud. Deleting that folder removes all of it.
3. System permissions and their purpose
The App requests the following macOS permissions, used strictly for automation actions and never for outbound data collection.
- Accessibility: global key detection and automated clicks/typing
- Screen Recording: screen capture for OCR and the position picker
4. Third parties and advertising
The App shows no advertising and shares no user data with any third party.
5. Children's privacy
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14.
6. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect legal or service changes; updates are posted on this page.
